HP Pavilion tx2500z Tablet PC

HP’s new Pavilion Tablet PC, based on AMD Puma mobile platform, is now available on market. The tx2500z convertible notebook includes a 12.1-inch touch-screen display, AMD Turion X2 Ultra ZM processor, ATI Radeon HD 3200 integrated graphics, up to 4GB or DDR2 RAM, and up to 320GB of storage. There are also a built-in DVD burner, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN, optional Bluetooth, web camera, and fingerprint reader, as well as Gigabit Ethernet LAN, a 56k modem, three USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, and 5-in-1 media card reader. The tx2500z weighs 4.23 pounds and runs Windows Vista. The base configuration is priced at $1,049.00 after $99 instant savings.

Shuttle XP19 Touchscreen Display

While it's been spotted at Computex, there are amazing bright a new Shuttle XP19 widescreen touchscreen LCD display. Spec are: a 19-inch Wa-Si TFT active matrix screen, 1680 x 1050 resolution, 5ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 170-degree viewing angles. And it all comes in a shiny metal case.

Transparent Touchscreen Device

When first laid eyes on this LucidTouch prototype, we were intrigued by the transparent multi-touch interface that allows users to control the device from behind the screen. Now, Microsoft has unveiled some artist mock-ups of what the device could look like as a final product. When compared to the prototype, is readily apparent that they have a long way to go, but at least it is still an ongoing project.
